
Torrevieja
Torrevieja is the sports enthusiast's dream come true. It offers a
superb selection of sports like sailing, diving, tennis, bowling,
athletics, football and a gymnasium. It's also ideal for a golfing
holiday since there are several Championship golf courses located
around the area. It also has a luxury beach resort with fantastic
amenities. For shopping freaks, the local market could throw up some
exciting possibilities. Other attractions are its fascinating and
ancient History and culture. Properties in the town of Torrevieja
are mainly apartments and lots have a sea view.

Quesada
Quesada is a truly cosmopolitan town, British Germans and
Scandinavians all own property here, while the Spanish seem to be a
minority. Though smaller than Torrevieja, it's self-contained with
about a dozen bars/restaurants including Chinese, Indian, French and
German, several mini-supermarkets, a chemist, five banks, a hardware
store, an insurance broker, news agency, a computer shop and even an
English butcher. Almost no businesses shut down in the winter here.
The Don Carlos pub-restaurant is the hub of the community's social
life and remains open until well after midnight , every day of the
year .
Alicante

Alicante is a fairly large city with a population of 300,000. It
combines classic beauty with modern appeal and has an infrastructure
that offers exciting entertainment as well as educational
opportunities.
This amazing city
manages to pack in mountains, beaches and even an island off the
Coast into its city limits. This is the only inhabited island in
Costa Blanca.
The most popular
promenade in Alicante is 'Explanada de España' which runs along the
former port jetty. It has a unique and attractive patchwork design
of different colours flanked by rows of palm trees overlooking the
Mediterranean sea. This haven of relaxation is perfect to enjoy the
sunshine and pleasant weather. Property sales here are few but
it is a great place to visit.

Santa Pola
Santa Pola is famous for its lobster stew, the wonderful caldereta
de langosta which is not to be missed. From the harbour, you can
take a trip to the island of Tabarca and enjoy the magnificent
marine scenery. Spanish own most of the property here.

Guardamar
Guardamar is a typically Spanish coastal town with fantastic
beaches. Beyond the miles of sand dunes lies a surprise a verdant
park and pine forest! Hearty food and drink can be enjoyed at the
numerous bars and restaurants. The market held every Wednesday is
one of the best and worth a visit. Property here is mainly
apartments some frontline.
Elche
Elche is a strategically located inland county city about
12Km from Alicante airport and 14Km from the coast. It is near the
largest palm tree plantation in Europe which is on the World
Heritage list. Inland property in cheaper than at the coast you your
money will go further.

Crevillente
Crevillente is an ancient and picturesque country town with a
population of around 24,000. It's famous for its clothing and
carpets. It is easily accessible lying 10Km from Elche and 35Km from
Torevieja.
Hondon
Experience real Spanish character at the tiny villages of Hondon de
los Friles and Hondon de las Nieves. These peaceful and quiet
villages are tucked away in the mountains behind Crevillente.
Great place if you are looking for a rural property.
Albatera
Albatera is a small village that lies between Crevillente and
Oriheula with a population of around 9,000. It has good Spanish
schools and motorway access.

Orihuela
Orihuela is a beautiful place with an attractive sea front featuring
a string of secluded inlets, beaches of golden sand, well-cared for
residential districts and two quiet marinas. Moving from the North
to the South you'll discover a lively inlet and an open beach, both
with full facilities and a well-cared for promenade. It also has a
series of small inlets with clear waters ideal for diving.
The La Zenia
beach is perfect for windsurfing, and between this beach and Cabo Roig lie more beautiful coves. At the foot of
Cabo Roig, you'll
find the yacht club which offers adventure sports like dinghy
sailing and windsurf classes. This is linked to Campoamor marina by
a wide beach always dotted with windsurf sails. Beyond this lies the
Southernmost beach, Mil Palmeras which blends into the beach of the
neighbouring town.
Orihuela has
three excellent golf courses just a few kilometres from the sea -
Villamartin, Las Ramblas an d Campoamor. It also has a town with
ancient Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments. This is a
very popular area for the British to buy property.

Pilar de la Horadada
Pilar de la Horadada is the first village you reach after you enter
Costa Blanca via the N-332 from Costa Calida. It has recently become
an independent municipality and its mainstay is tourism. It has 4 km
of pleasant beaches: Playa de las Mil Palmeras, Playa del Río, Playa
del Gato, Playa de los Jesuitas-Cala Rincón, Playa del Conde, Playa
del Puerto and Playa del Mojón. Its huerta (irrigated land)
predominantly produces tasty fruit and vegetables which are exported
throughout the world. Property is good value for money.
