Almeria Property Almeria
The province of Almeria is situated in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, on the shores of the Mediterranean. It is bounded to the Northeast by the provinces of Granada and Murcia, and to the East by the Mediterranean and the province of Murcia, to the south by the Mediterranean and to the west by the province of Granada. Almeria is the Gateway of Spain and Europe and the window out onto the African Coasts.

It covers an area of 8.760 kilometres and comprises of a great many geographic contrasts including long beaches and small coves, desert areas and others with a varied vegetation and high mountains with extensive plains. The passing of time has also had a great influence on the landscape, In Almeria it is therefore possible to find modern and bustling tourist centres as well as natural areas where man has scarcely left his mark.

Almeria has a unique landscape in Europe, with the dessert lying next to the most fertile and productive gardens of Europe. Alongside arid expanses, where survival seems an adventure in itself are lagoons of salty water, teaming bird life and plant species which have almost become extinct in the rest of the world. Almeria is influenced by the African winds that bring heat and dryness to the land bestowing it with Mediterranean climate and a landscape devoid of water and tress which added to the mountains terrain is the cause of the deserts.
Almeria property can be as diverse as the landscape.

Almerimar
Almerimar has often been heard to be described as an Oasis in the Almeria desert or as one of Spain’s best kept secrets. This is probably due to it being a residential area for the people of El Ejido which in itself is one of richest towns in Spain. Almerimar has all of the attractions that this would imply; An 18 hole golf course designed by Gary Player and opened in 1976 which has recently been extended to 27 holes; One of Europe’s largest sports harbours consisting of 3 darsenas, floating sports boat pontoon, large dry dock and associated sea sports facilities; Extensive blue flag beaches one of which is part of the natural park of Punta Entinas and includes a naturist section; Horse riding facilities from beginner to the John Waynes of this world and all the culinary and drinking delights that one would expect of an Andalusian village. As Almerimar is on one of the most southern points of the Spanish mainland it has extensive hours of sunshine which enables you to enjoy the snow capped views of the Sierra Nevadas from a “warm living room”. There has also been a large amount of detail and thought in the planning of Almerimar which has led to extensive green areas, water areas including two lakes and a regulation of building height which means that Almerimar is definitely not your usual Spanish coastal town.

Roquetas de Mar
Situated 25 km west of Almería and 160 km east of Malaga. It is one of the few resorts in Europe where the rainfall is scarce. The sun shines for more than 320 days a year!  Its wide, sandy beaches, the nautical sports, restaurants and hotels make for an unforgettable holiday. Roquetas de Mar is also known for its golf courses and water sport activities.

Enix
Village situated in the Sierra de Gador, the principal characteristic of which is the abundance of water it possesses in its area. This is the biggest treasure to be had in this province, greater than the mines, now abandoned, which previously brought it wealth.
Apart from that, the village is a point of white light surrounded by semi-arid ochre-coloured land. It is a rustic enclave of Moorish origin which preserves its original features in its architecture of narrow graded streets with white flat-roofed houses over which the Parish Church stands out.

Felix
Village in the eastern part of the Sierra de Gador, on flat mountain land; it is here we find the spring that gives the water for which the village is known.
The most attractive things about the village are its tranquillity, its picturesque architecture, its clean narrow streets, the white of its houses, the clean fresh air and the friendliness of its people.

La Envía
Situated in a wide valley with new villa developments, west of the road from the N340 towards Felix between El Parador and Enix in the Almeria region, Spain. The short 18 hole golf course of la Envia, designed by Francisco Mendoza, will attract people who prefer a nice, relaxed and enjoyable game of golf rather than the challenge of defeating a punishing championship golf course. Nevertheless there are a few difficult, undulated, holes at La Envia Golf which require all your skills.

Mojacar
MOJACAR PLAYA - Mojácar Playa offers 6 miles of uncluttered beaches with warm and clear waters, flanked by beach bars, restaurants and beautiful promenades.
Set back from the beach, are small community developments, apartments and villas, all of which are very respectful of their natural environment. Local authorities have set strict guidelines preventing any high-rise buildings as they do not want the region to resemble some of Spain\'s other overdeveloped Costas!
Mojácar is very popular with Spanish holiday makers in summer, however, also experiences a large amount of foreign visitors throughout the entire year.
With beaches, restaurants, nearby golf courses and marinas, Mojácar has it all.

MOJACAR VILLAGE - Graced with a curious distinction all of its own, this spectacular Moorish fortress town stands on a towering crag overlooking pristine beaches and the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean.
Fortunately, the village has retained much of its original character, with sugar-cubed whitewashed houses and winding streets, each blooming with flowers and leading visitors to a lookout across the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Mediterranean.
The village is rapidly becoming more cosmopolitan. Bars and restaurants can be found throughout many of the Pueblo\'s maze of streets, which bustle until the early hours during the summer months. In contrast, for the many residents who live there throughout the year, winter provides a quieter, spacious and more relaxed tempo.

The friendless and hospitality of the almost 7,000 inhabitants of Vera make this town especially attractive for residents and guests. There is a street market every Saturday.

Quesada Villaricos
Villaricos is a simple fishing village, perched precariously between the Sierra Almagrera and the sea and flanked by the Almanzora River.
Villaricos was once a great Phoenician port. Forgotten by history for thousands of years, it resurfaced as a silver mining boom town in the 19th century before finally becoming the pleasant fishing village of today, with a special identity all of it's own.
The real charm of Villaricos lies in its old fashioned simplicity and warmth of spirit and it is this lack of pretension that catches you in the end.

Fishing supplies the main source of income for Spanish families in Garrucha and explains the village slogan Garrucha, sun and prawns. Fishing boats set sail every morning at dawn catching the tasty varieties of different fish which are sold fresh everyday in the many fish restaurant in the village and surrounding areas.
The main attraction in Garrucha is the castle of Jesus Nazareno, which was built by Charles III to watch over the coastline. There is also a charming promenade which stretches along the whole of the Garrucha coastline with many bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours. At night there is a small outdoor market and on Friday there is a large market from 9 - 1 offering fruit and veg, clothes, leather goods and hot and tasty chickens.

Quesada Turre
Turre is 10 minutes inland from Mojácar Playa and is a pretty little town that has a wonderful church and old town square.
Turre is a family town that has an all-year round community. As prices in Mojácar continue to rise Turre is becoming very popular. This is aided by its stunning views to the Cabrera mountains and fantastic restaurants.
Turre will also increase in popularity as there are some huge investments and leisure projects being undertaken nearby.
